National News – Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi East have endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Senator Jibrin Isah, popularly known as Echocho, for re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced on Friday through a statement issued by the group’s representative, Ibrahim Mohammed.

The stakeholders said their decision was based on the senator’s constituency projects and grassroots interventions across the district, which they believe have strengthened support for the APC.

According to the group, Senator Isah’s efforts in education, agriculture, rural infrastructure, and social welfare have had a positive impact on residents of Kogi East.

They noted that these achievements would play a major role in the party’s campaign strategy as preparations gradually begin for the next election cycle.

The stakeholders highlighted several projects carried out by the senator, including the donation of school buses, renovation of schools, and distribution of learning materials to educational institutions within the senatorial district.

They also pointed to the provision of farming equipment, financial assistance for vulnerable residents, boreholes, and electricity transformers in several communities.

Explaining why they backed both Tinubu and Isah, the stakeholders said the projects align with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on economic growth, infrastructure development, and social welfare.

They expressed confidence that the visible projects and interventions would encourage voters to support the APC in future elections.

The group further pledged to mobilise support across the nine local government areas that make up Kogi East.

They argued that Senator Isah’s performance in office has enhanced the party’s popularity and positioned it strongly for the 2027 polls.

President Tinubu, who assumed office on May 29, 2023, has consistently defended his administration’s economic reforms, including fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange market unification.

While the policies have attracted criticism over rising living costs, APC leaders in Kogi East believe the administration’s achievements, alongside Senator Isah’s constituency projects, will strengthen public support for the party ahead of the next general elections.
