National News – Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has said his administration has delivered 90 per cent of the campaign promises made to residents of the state within three years of taking office.
The governor made the statement on Saturday during a Sallah homage visit by the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umaru, at the Government House in Kano.
Yusuf stated that his government has focused on people-oriented policies and development projects aimed at improving living conditions across Kano State.
According to him, major achievements have been recorded in education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, water supply, youth empowerment, and economic development.
The governor explained that the projects were designed to enhance economic growth, create opportunities for residents, and strengthen public services.
He noted that the administration remains committed to fulfilling its remaining campaign promises before the end of its tenure.
Speaking during the visit, Yusuf assured residents of the Rano Emirate that several key projects would receive priority attention.
These include the expansion and dualisation of the Karfi–Rano Road, the provision of subsidised fertiliser for farmers, and the renovation of the Emir’s Palace.
He thanked the people of Rano Emirate for their continued support and confidence in his government, pledging to sustain the pace of development across all parts of the state.
Earlier, the Emir of Rano praised the governor’s performance, citing completed road projects in Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Local Government Areas.
He also commended the continuation of the Kaluwaiwai Water Project, describing it as beneficial to local communities.
The monarch further applauded efforts that led to the upgrade of the Rano Emirate Hospital to a Federal Medical Centre and the conversion of the School of Rural Technology, Rano, into a Federal Polytechnic.
The emir pledged the continued cooperation of the people of Rano Emirate in promoting peace, security, and development in Kano State, expressing confidence that ongoing projects would bring lasting benefits to future generations.
