Governor Okpebholo praised the athletes, coaches, and sports administrators for their dedication, discipline, and determination throughout the competition.
According to him, the victory demonstrates Edo State’s immense sporting potential and the government’s commitment to developing the sector.
He recalled that during the opening ceremony of the Games, he confidently predicted that Edo would not only host the competition but also emerge victorious.
The governor said the athletes proved that confidence right by dominating the medal standings and bringing pride to the state.
Okpebholo further emphasized that sports development remains a key part of his administration’s agenda.

“Your performance has made Edo proud. We must continue to harness your talent so that the state can produce champions who will represent Nigeria on the world stage.”
Chairman of the state sports committee, Amadin Enabulele, commended the governor for his proactive support and early preparation for the Games.
