National News – Nigerian afro-house singer Niniola has announced the death of her husband, Michael Ndika, in an emotional social media post that shocked fans and the entertainment industry on Wednesday.
The singer disclosed the tragic news through a series of messages shared on her Instagram story in the early hours of May 20, 2026, confirming that her husband had passed away after 13 years together.
Michael Ndika, who was the Chief Executive Officer of NaijaReview, a multimedia platform promoting afro-house and contemporary African music, was described by Niniola as a major part of her personal and professional journey.
Although the exact cause and circumstances surrounding his death were not immediately revealed, the singer expressed deep grief in her emotional posts.
“God took him,” she wrote in one message. In another, she added, “My husband died,” while a third post read, “God took him. 13 years. 13 fucking years.”
