Delta APC Celebrates Okowa, Dafinone on Their Victories

National News – The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has congratulated Senators Ifeanyi Okowa, Ede Dafinone, and Joel-Onowakpo Thomas after emerging victorious in the party’s senatorial primary elections across Delta North, Delta Central, and Delta South.

The party described the exercise as peaceful and transparent, noting that the process complied with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2026 and the approved guidelines of the APC.

In a statement signed by the Delta APC Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the party commended aspirants, stakeholders, and members for their maturity and commitment throughout the primaries.

According to the statement, the National Assembly Primary Election Committee for Delta State officially announced the outcomes after the completion of the exercise.

The committee was chaired by Rt. Hon. Eugene Odo, while Barrister Musa Amagbor served as secretary.

The APC maintained that the conduct of the primaries reflected the wishes of party members and reinforced the party’s commitment to fairness, transparency, and internal democracy.

The party also expressed satisfaction with the orderly manner in which the exercise was conducted across the senatorial districts.

The statement further urged party members and stakeholders to remain united ahead of future elections, stressing that collective effort and cooperation would be necessary for electoral success.

Members were also encouraged to participate peacefully in the remaining State House of Assembly direct primary elections in line with party rules.

Dafinone recorded a major victory in Delta Central after defeating former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, during the APC senatorial primary election.

Okowa secured victory in Delta North, while Joel-Onowakpo Thomas maintained a strong lead in Delta South, according to results announced by party officials.
