National News – Harry Kane has predicted that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will defeat Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League final scheduled for Saturday in Budapest, Hungary.
The Bayern Munich striker said PSG’s status as reigning champions gives them a slight edge, although he acknowledged Arsenal’s impressive form this season.
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, England captain, spoke on Thursday, May 28, 2026, in interviews with ESPN and Sky Sports ahead of the UEFA Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal in Budapest, Hungary on Saturday.
He said PSG are slight favourites as reigning champions, while Arsenal’s strong season makes the contest evenly balanced.
He explained that experience in knockout competitions could decide the match, adding that tactics and intensity will shape the outcome.
He added that Arsenal have enjoyed a standout season, including winning the Premier League title after a 22-year wait.
However, he insisted PSG’s consistency in high-pressure European knockout games could prove decisive.
Kane also reflected on Bayern Munich’s semi-final elimination against PSG, which ended 6–5 on aggregate, expressing frustration over controversial refereeing decisions that shaped the tie.
The England captain admitted he was unsure whether he would watch the final due to lingering disappointment from that defeat.
He pointed to disputed decisions in the semi-final, including a controversial handball incident and a reversed booking, which he believes affected the outcome of the match and Bayern’s chances of reaching the final.
Despite his prediction, Kane praised both PSG and Arsenal, describing the clash as evenly balanced between two elite sides.
He highlighted their contrasting playing styles, noting PSG’s experience and Arsenal’s attacking strength as key factors that could influence the outcome of the highly anticipated final.
