National News – British-Nigerian rapper Skepta has called for urgent global attention to ongoing injustice in Nigeria, urging international communities to speak out.
The message surfaced in a viral video on May 28, 2026, where he reflected on the End SARS protests and current socio-political concerns in Nigeria.
The British-Nigerian artiste, Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr., popularly known as Skepta, said he was prompted by a phone memory from the End SARS protests in Nigeria to speak again on what he described as persistent injustice.
In the clip, he appealed to the international community to support Nigerians, noting that citizens often speak on global crises in Congo, Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and Cuba, but also deserve similar attention.
He stated that he continues to use his shows and public appearances to highlight injustice whenever possible.
The video, though not posted on his verified accounts, was widely circulated by entertainment platforms in Nigeria and the UK, increasing its reach and sparking renewed debate on governance, accountability, and human rights in the country.
Skepta also reaffirmed his connection to Nigeria, referencing his heritage and past participation in civic protests.
Analysts say the message has intensified online conversations about social justice and the role of celebrities in advocacy.
The development underscores ongoing public discourse on economic hardship and security challenges in Nigeria, as citizens and diaspora voices amplify calls for reform.
