National News – Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has cemented his place among Liverpool’s greatest players after breaking multiple records during his nine-year stay at the club.

Since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has delivered outstanding performances, helping the Reds win major titles while rewriting Premier League and European football history.

The 33-year-old attacker became Liverpool’s highest Premier League scorer with 191 league goals, surpassing club legend Robbie Fowler.

He also ranks fourth on the Premier League all-time scoring chart behind Alan Shearer, Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney.

Salah now holds the record for the most Premier League goals and assists by an African player.

The former Chelsea FC winger has scored 193 league goals and provided 94 assists, overtaking icons such as Didier Drogba and Sadio Mane.

In the 2024/25 season, Salah recorded 47 goal involvements, including 29 goals and 18 assists, the highest ever in a 38-game Premier League campaign.

He also became the first player to win the Premier League Player of the Season, Golden Boot and Golden Playmaker awards in the same season.

On the European stage, Salah set another landmark by becoming the first African player to score 50 UEFA Champions League goals.

He also recorded the fastest Champions League hat-trick after scoring three goals in six minutes against Rangers in 2022.

Across all competitions, Salah scored 257 goals for Liverpool, placing him third on the club’s all-time scoring list.

His achievements continue to strengthen his legacy as one of the greatest players in Premier League history.
